As a member of the Leadership Class, Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa, and President of the Nursing Student Organization, LaToya participated in several service projects: drives for the MLK Day of Service, food pantry meal preparations, road clean-ups, and a drive for servicemen/women overseas. Upon graduation in May 2012, Latoya hopes to work as a critical care nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

LaToya Brown, Northampton Community College
I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
