Lauren Williams, Baker University

Lauren Williams, a sophomore elementary education major at Baker University, is strongly committed to engaging peers in service to the local, national, & international communities. As a freshman, Lauren took the lead in revitalizing the Baker Serves volunteer service student organization.  She has coordinated several campus service projects to combat hunger on a local level through the Tackling Hunger Together Food Drive and an international level through the Numana SWIPE Out Hunger Event. In addition, she has been instrumental in bringing The Big Event to Baker University, a nationwide one-day service project which, in its first year, engaged over 125 students in giving back to the Baldwin City & Douglas County communities.

Thanks for your continued outstanding leadership at Campus Compact. Your publications and programs are always top-notch. I sincerely appreciate all you have done for us in the trenches."

-William F. Moeller, Director, Center for Civic Education and Service, Florida State University
