Willa Skeehan, a Math Education major and Social Justice and Civic Engagement Minor, is dedicating her time as an undergraduate to understanding the disparities in educational opportunity, especially in urban Chicago. She immersed herself in service experiences at Catholic Worker Houses in Kansas City and Iowa, and internationally in Mexico. Inspired by her service at San Miguel Middle School, she initiated a research project that will compare educational resources between San Miguel and a suburban school to provide San Miguel with statistical support for their critical grant applications.
