An engaging and enthusiastic young man, Mr. Gafarian launched SJC Radio, the first student-run internet radio station at St. Joseph’s College, during the fall 2012 semester. The newly established station, which broadcasts from the Long Island Campus, provides students with a creative outlet while engaging their interests and offering music, information, news and a variety of programs to students, alumni, faculty, staff, administrators and the community at large. Mr. Gafarian demonstrates initiative, drive, passion and leadership in all of his extracurricular endeavors. In addition to his current position as station manager for SJC Radio, he works as an orientation leader, is the publicity director for the American Red Cross Club and serves as publicity chairperson for Relay for Life, where he helped raise nearly $16,000 for the American Cancer Society last year. Mr. Gafarian is also an active member of the SJC Drama Society and co-founder and vice president of SJC Naturals, an all-male a cappella group on campus.
