Emma Flynn, Hutchinson Community College

Emma Flynn, a pre-med student at Hutchinson Community College (HCC), is a modern-day Renaissance woman. In the classroom, she has maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA while taking on a very rigorous curriculum. Her instructors have described her as amazing, extremely conscientious, and perfect. Her dedication does not stop with her studies. Outside of the classroom, Emma has been a very active in the Hutchinson Community College’s Honors Program where she will be co-leading the Honors Student Council during the 2013/2014 academic year. For her honors project, she is researching how music can assist neurological disorder treatments. In addition to being an active member of the Student Government Association, Foreign Language Club, and Phi Theta Kappa, Emma plays in HCC’s Symphonic Band and Pep Band as well as plays with the city orchestra. In addition, she helps people with the GED curriculum as a volunteer mathematics tutor for the Adult Basic Education Learning Center.
