Jessica Tieman, a McKendree University senior from Lincoln, Illinois, is majoring in History and English. She is a Community Service Scholar and four-year member of the McKendree Community Action Team, through which she has performed hundreds of hours of community service and organized dozens of volunteer events. Jessica is co-coordinator of McKendree’s program at the Family Living Center, a transitional housing shelter in East St. Louis for homeless women and children. She is a senior senator and student counselor in the Student Government Association, president of the local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, National English Honors Society, and treasurer of McKendree Young Feminists.
