Savannah Reardon, Bay Path College

Savannah Reardon, a junior at Bay Path College, has a passion for instilling confidence with those she works with through her anti-bullying campaign, Just the Way You Are. Her motivation for sustainable change is evident in this yearly event that she organizes and funds each year on campus as well as in local schools. A part of her program includes empowerment and anti-bullying workshops in area schools in which she facilitates. In addition to her anti-bullying campaign she is a Resident Assistant, a Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentor, Orientation Leader, and Junior Class Delegate. She is highly active and it shows that she is truly an agent for sustainable, positive change on her campus and in her community. Savannah continues to have bold plans and would like to turn her campaign into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC."
