Adriana Margarita Vallejo Castillo is a student at Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico. She founded the student group Aantah, which in Mayan language means “help” or “protector”. This association fosters biopsychosocial balance through prevention and intervention in the areas of health, psychology, education and law serving more than 1,100 persons in 6 neighborhoods in Santa Catarina, including Hurricane Alex Relief efforts. Through this association, 45 committed college students are advocating for the establishment of a community center that will serve this economically deprived area. She is currently working to evolve this association into a non-profit organization.
