Amber Rafko, a sophomore at Madonna University, is a student-athlete who is passionate about the need for safe and stable blood in the community. Through her high school years and starting her sophomore year she has worked in conjunction with The American Red Cross to fight the constant demand for blood donors. Amber’s efforts have contributed to dramatic increases in blood donations from both campus and community donors. In addition to her direct service work, Amber serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Michigan Red Cross Chapter where she works with community members to seek sustainable solutions for issues related to blood donation shortages, house fires and other types of disaster relief.
