Saint Anselm College’s Ashley Muraczewski nurtured the Meelia Center’s Humanities After-School: Exploring a World of Human Greatness. Supported by the NH Humanities Council vision of community education and engagement with refugees, Ashley Muraczewski helped bring together 35 high school refugees and Saint Anselm students to collaboratively research and present on the cultures that send refugees to Manchester. Ashley helped create a climate where all participants valued each other and embraced the hard work involved in research, presentation, preparation and delivery. The Humanities After-School Program allowed Ashley’s abilities to rise to the surface where they remain available for great things she has yet to accomplish.

Thanks to Campus Compact for all that you have done over the years to nurture the campus service and service-learning movement. When we started at St. A's 15 years ago there was a feeling among some campuses that we were seeing higher education's latest 'flash in the pan.' Instead it was the beginning of a revolution of ideas and relationships, and you guys have been fueling us all the way.
