Brian Estrada, a sophomore at Johnson & Wales University and native Rhode Islander, is an active member of the Third Eye Project of RI; an initiative that equips students and teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to promote safe, drug-free schools and reduce bullying, harassment, vandalism, truancy, and violent crimes and behaviors. Since 2006, he has organized Third Eye’s local/regional training conferences and, by establishing a successful anti-bullying curriculum, empowered hundreds of RI Mt. Pleasant High School urban students to address violence in their lives. Estrada is modeling civic engagement in the campus community by introducing a bullying curriculum for college students.
