Carolyn Frangos, Community College of Rhode Island, RI

Carolyn Frangos is a pre-nursing student at the Community College of Rhode Island. She is deeply committed to eliminating hunger and improving women’s health. She has been a volunteer at the RI Food Bank for the past 3 years as a quality control checker.  Recently she was invited to join the RI Community Food Bank, Women Ending Hunger Committee. This group works to create long-term solutions to advocate and educate the public through policy change, nutrition, education and SNAP outreach. In addition to the efforts at the Food Bank, she has volunteers at Women & Infants Hospital. She brings comfort, cheer and nutrition to patients as they undergo their infusion treatments and also works on the medical surgical floor. She runs errands, stocks supplies, transports and provides companionship to patients.

Thanks for your continued outstanding leadership at Campus Compact. Your publications and programs are always top-notch. I sincerely appreciate all you have done for us in the trenches."
