Kathryn Evans, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, WI

Kathryn Evans, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, is a passionate leader in LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) rights.  Through her dedication, Kathryn has been a part of the Kenosha/Racine Collaboration for Safe Schools and UW-Parkside’s LGBTQ Resource Center.  With planning campus-wide programs for this University, she has also been working with local school boards to begin providing staff, teachers and administrators with Safe Zone Trainings.  This year Kathryn trained and coordinated a student-panel group as a resource for professors on campus.  Additionally, Kathryn educates her peers and is always a student that is focused on inclusivity.

Campus Compact's Professional Development Institute taught me more in 5 days than I would have learned on my own in 2 years!"
