Michael Jendzurski, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, PA

Michael Jendzurski, a sophomore at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, is an Honors College student involved with research and service in South Africa utilizing ethnographic methods to obtain accounts of the lives and leadership challenges of diverse individuals who played a role in the cultural transformation from apartheid to democracy; these interviews were filmed for production of mini-documentaries. Michael has also led efforts in raising funds for those afflicted with HIV-AIDS and has given presentations in South Africa on service-learning practices. Using these experiences, he will be collaborating with faculty on a manuscript dealing with “sustained international education.”
