Request for Proposals (RFPs)

Student RFPs are based on the individual philanthropic missions of their Giving Accounts and developed in conjunction with rubrics for the evaluation of proposals. Sample RFPs:

  • Binghamton University (52KB)
  • Portland Community College (32 KB)
  • University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (80KB)
  • Pay it Forward-Sample RFP Letter (88 KB)
  • Pay it Forward-Sample RFP (92 KB)
  • Getting the Word Out

Many classes collaborate with campus service centers, community foundations and United Way chapters to access nonprofit databases to promote the opportunity broadly. State Commissions for National and Community Service or other statewide service agencies would also be potential partners in spreading the word about the availability of grant funds.

Thanks to Campus Compact for all that you have done over the years to nurture the campus service and service-learning movement. When we started at St. A's 15 years ago there was a feeling among some campuses that we were seeing higher education's latest 'flash in the pan.' Instead it was the beginning of a revolution of ideas and relationships, and you guys have been fueling us all the way."
