Brief Biography:
Christina Bechstein has taught in art, design and architecture programs across the United States and currently at Maine College of Art. In addition to reality based public art projects, her curricula include training in the fundamentals of project management and reflection necessary in community art making. As an artist, her public installations, including SOCIAL FABRIC and SODADI, have investigated the role of place making in community building. She is committed to artistic and creative processes that convene diverse community members in the act of co-creating and transforming public space. She is able to consult on creative planning, community involvement and curriculum creation in and integrating the arts.
