Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching’s Elective Community Engagement Classification

Drawing its criteria heavily from Campus Compact’s Indicators of Engagement Project the Carnegie classification reaffirms institutional commitment to deepen the practice of service and to further strengthen bonds between campus and community

2015 Community Engagement Classification Timeline 

January 2013 Announcement 2015 process 
May 1, 2013 Deadline for registering 
September 9, 2013 Release of applications 
April 15, 2014 Applications Due/Reviewing begins 
December 2014 Review Process completed/ campuses notified 
January 2015 2015 classification results announced
