Professional Development & Training

Campus Compact is dedicated to developing the professional capacity and knowledge of faculty, administrators, students, and community service/service-learning staff seeking to extend their campuses’ engaged work. In addition to state, regional, and national meetings, we offer on-site expertise and a host of resources to help members develop, fund, and run effective programs.

  • Diving Deep: Campus Compact’s Institute for Experienced Civic and Community Engagement Practitioners
Over 3 ½ days in July 2010, seasoned practitioners from throughout the nation will gather with a team of distinguished facilitators to explore the future of the service-learning and civic and community engagement movement and come to an understanding on a deep, personal level of what it means to be a part of this field today. Diving Deep offers a professional development opportunity to support seasoned practitioners in influencing their campus and contributing to advancing the movement on the local, state, and national levels.
  • Calendar of Events
Conferences, workshops, and other events from Campus Compact and the field.
  • Professionalizing the Community Service/Service-Learning Director Role

  • Publications
Campus Compact books and other publications with key information to help faculty members, students, staff, and others involved in community service/service-learning become more effective and valued in their work.

Campus Compact's workshops have been extremely valuable. Faculty often become energized by the workshop content and bring that enthusiasm back to campus."
