California State University

(11/16/2006)

California State University, Fresno has joined the nationwide drive to provide support and aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina, including coordinated efforts by the CSU system, student organizations and the Bulldogs Athletics Department. Fresno State students hit the corners around the campus selling copies of The New York Times (which donated a total of 1,000 copies of three editions) to raise funds for the Fresno State Hurricane Relief Project.

Service and service-learning have really helped shape my values and beliefs. I won't settle for a job; I want a career that makes a difference."

-Nickie Lora, student, Saint Anselm College
