Holy Cross students opt for alternative spring break

(Katie Daly, NECN: Worcester, Mass.) – While many college students may be planning a warm getaway for spring break, others are answering a call for action.

Some Holy Cross students will be using their time to help those in need.

Maria de la Montte along with 15 other students from Holy Cross are getting ready to attend Power Shift 2009. It’s an event held by thousands of college students at the nations capital. The goal is to ask leaders to take action on environmental issues…
