BU program awards $12,000 to nonprofits

More than $12,000 in grants was distributed Tuesday to Central New York nonprofits, marking the culmination of a Binghamton University graduate course focused on responsible philanthropy…. BU was one of 10 institutions nationwide selected to run a charity incubator aimed at teaching students how to meet community needs and evaluate nonprofits. The money was supplied by the “Students4Giving” program, sponsored by The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund and Campus Compact.
