“Hear and forget; see and remember, do and understand.”
These are the words by which the Colorado Campus Compact (CCC) lives. The service-learning based organization has promoted the mission of higher education for over 15 years by pairing up students from across the state with community-service activities designed to enrich their individual educational goals.
I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
