Long, steady investment in civic leadership pays off

Six weeks after the collapse of the I-35W bridge, Minnesotans have reason to be proud. Citizens leapt to be of service at the onset of the tragedy. Emergency directors and personnel set national records for effectiveness and cooperation. Local and state elected officials expressed compassion and vision, and Minnesota’s members of Congress have led the call to examine and fund rebuilding and maintaining our nation’s roads and bridges…
