Kilgore College has jointed a statewide initiative to encourage students and the community to show their support for Texas firefighters.
In the the wake of wildfires that have destroyed more than 35,000 acres in East Texas and nearing the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the college announced Wednesday it is joining the Texas Campus Compact, a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen higher education through community involvement.
