Using a database for co-curricular transcripts

Alvernia College - PA, Pennsylvania

Many campuses offer official transcripts that keep track of students co-curricular service activities. At Alvernia College, the co-curricular transcript is produced using a database system, through which students track all of their required service hours. The database enables the university to track students hours, placements, and the quality of their work. This set-up both lends legitimacy to students extracurricular service activities, and creates an effective system for assessing student work by tracking key information.

Our residency program in Family Medicine is structured on a reflective practice frame, and your website was tremendously helpful to me in refining our Community Medicine curriculum this year. Thanks!"
