The University of Michigan-Flint has decided to award graduation cords to students who have completed and documented (through the service learning office) at least 300 hours of service and completed a final reflective essay. In addition to the cords, each of these students will receive a Community Service Learning Transcript, a Commitment to Service Certificate, and a letter of acknowledgement from the Chancellor. If you would like a copy of the brochure we developed, please email me at Laura Kunkel with your name and address.

Graduation cords for service
University of Michigan-Flint - MI, Michigan
It has been the training I received through Maine Campus Compact in both problem-based service-learning and civic engagement that has helped me become a passionate and effective advocate for tearing down the doors between campus and community.
