Urban Universities and their Role in Central City Economics, University of Pittsburgh

The University of Pittburgh aims for regional economic development through a joint-venture with existing companies in the region. It establishes connections with start-up companies and provides technical assistance to entrepreneurs. It receives state and city-wide support for its efforts and projects that it will create 1,000 jobs in 5 years and 10,000 jobs in ten years.
