PAR Project: SOLUTIONS!

Evergreen State College - WA, Washington

The Evergreen State College assisted SOLUTIONS!, a community organization in neighboring Mason County, in the second phase of a community-created participatory research project. SOLUTIONS! involved 30 residents of Mason County in the creation of several action projects that address human needs in the county. Mason County is a rural timber resource county facing dramatic economic and social changes. Unemployment, homelessness, access to health care, literacy and teenage pregnancy are among the problems that need to be addressed.
