CCV has engaged in four area local nonprofit summits throughout the state. These non-profit summits brought together local higher education providers, nonprofit organizations and agencies for a day of discussion on strengthening community/higher education partnerships. Each of these events was a great success engaging between 4-70 participants: students, faculty, staff, community partners.

Much of my work in service-learning and community engagement has come as a result of the many excellent resources and materials generated by Campus Compact. When I first became the Founding Director of CSUSB's CUP [Community-University Partnership Institute], I relied almost exclusively on the resources of Campus Compact in designing, planning, and implementing our actions.
