IDSC 151: “”Athens to New York”" is an interdisciplinary core requirement at the College of New Jersey that is taught by full-time faculty in residence-hall classrooms. The course addresses four basic questions: what it means to be human; what is means to be a member of a community; what it means to be moral, ethical, or just; and how individuals in communities respond to differences. Students put theory to practice by completeing a minimum of ten hours of community service.
