The ABC Approach

Marist College - NY, New York

Edward O’Keefe and Donna Berger, Marist educators and authors of Self Management for College Students: The ABC Approach, teach this course (PSYC 103: Self Management: Theory and Application) which places responsibility for personal and societal change on the individual. The program emphasizes that persons create the societal conditions of which they are a part and that one’s own affect (A) , behaviors (B), and cognitions (C) are the common denominator through which all areas of personal development and change are understood and managed.
