Providing faculty sponsors for students interested in independent service-learning projects

Oberlin College - OH, Ohio

Students who have an idea of what service-learning they would like to perform might not be able to find a course to match their interests. The Center for Service and Learning at Oberlin College helps match these students with a college faculty member who can act as an appropriate sponsor for individual reading. In this way, students can put together independent service-learning projects to match their educational and community interests.
