Developing the engaged scholar: Faculty Fellows program

Indiana Campus Compact - IN, Indiana

The Faculty Fellows program offered by Indiana Campus Compact provides incentive for faculty who are already involved in service-learning to go to the next level. Faculty Fellows are given release time and support to fully integrate community engagement into every aspect of their scholarship: teaching, research, and service. Faculty Fellows are also given funding to attend a national conference on service-learning and participate in a series of retreats with other Faculty Fellows from around the state. In turn, Faculty Fellows provide leadership on campus for other faculty to develop service-learning courses.

Over the past 20 years, we've seen an increase in community service and civic engagement, thanks in large part to Campus Compact."
