Providing teaching assistants for faculty

Chandler-Gilbert Community College - AZ, Arizona

At Chandler-Gilbert Community College, every faculty member who teaches a service-learning course is provided a teaching assistant to help ease the burden of implementing high-quality service-learning. The assistant s job is to tailor service activities to the individual needs and requests of students enrolled in the course. The assistant also completes all the necessary paperwork for service placements and serves as a liaison between students and the instructor.
