Supported by an American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) subgrant from the Corporation for National Service (CNS), Providence College s Education Department is infusing service-learning into its teacher education program in order to prepare beginning and expert teachers who view service-learning as an integral part of the K-12 curriculum. During the spring semester 123 pre-service teachers collaborated with 5 faculty members and 38 elementary teacher to develop service-learning projects with approximately 760 children.
