The Build/Design Workshop

Arizona State University - AZ, Arizona

An architecture professor has designed a course for her students where the students build a house in conjuction with Habitat for Humanity. The students also meet with the families who will be living in the constructed home to find out what would be their ideal house. These criteria are then taken into account when the students design a house for future construction projects.

Our commitment is grounded in the notion that higher education's purpose is inextricably linked to the public good. That at its best higher education creates an opportunity to develop global citizen leaders. Pennsylvania Campus Compact is a vibrant organization that offers resources and support to campuses who share this commitment."
