Residence Hall Service Advocates Program

University of California at Berkeley - CA, California

UC Berkeley’s Cal Corps Public Service Center coordinates the campus’ Service Advocates Program. Service Advocates live in the campus residence halls and serve as resources for residents on involvement in campus community service and service-learning programs. The Service Advocates also develop a year-long service plan for their residential community that builds on the interests of the residents, and in the case of themed housing, incorporates aspects of that theme. The Service Advocates participate in a weekly leadership skill development seminar.

I hope you realize how much people like me appreciate the work you do. In ways large and small, the Compact has played a crucial role in all the work we have done."
