Campus Compact works to develop students not only as active citizens but also as leaders in guiding their own civic and academic learning. Our initiatives both guide and recognize students’ efforts to make college a place to connect with the community.
Here are some ways students can use Campus Compact’s resources to become more effective advocates for change on campus and in the community:
- Get recognition for your work through our Newman student award
- Earn a fellowship for you the activities you’re involved in with the Peace First Prize
- Read our guide to recent legislation affecting student loan forgiveness
- Find models of student leadership, alternative spring breaks, and more in our program models database
- Get smart about policy by researching the issues and politicians that affect you
- Find best practices in campus-based mentoring
- Learn how to work with faculty as a service-learning leader in Students as Colleagues
- Find tips on how to organize for campus activism
- Learn strategies and activities for organizing change on campus in the Raise Your Voice student guide and gain insight into student civic engagement from Lessons Learned by your peers
- Connect with your state Compact office
We have also put together a comprehensive list of resources for students, which contains not only Campus Compact resources, but also resources from other organizations.
