Associate Director of Service-Learning, Office of Leadership and Service-Learning, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, NC

The Office of Leadership and Service-Learning, a unit of the UNCG Division of Student Affairs, is a catalyst for student programs focused on the development of leadership and civic engagement.

The Associate Director of Service-Learning reports to the Director of Leadership and Service-Learning and has primary responsibilities for all service-learning programming at UNCG.

The Associate Director is responsible for developing and extending service-learning opportunities at UNCG and will work to design processes and infrastructure for the new service-learning initiative at UNCG.

The Associate Director’s responsibilities include: providing overall administrative support for the service-learning program through integration of community service opportunities with the academic program, working with faculty on community placements, and coordinating training for faculty on service-learning pedagogical methods.

My own service-learning experience helped me to change my undergraduate major to social work. As a student worker with the program, I gained so many skills that helped me to be successful as a social worker and change agent after graduation. Now I help student workers develop these same skills and find the same passion for creating positive change that I have felt."

-Kim Jensen, Assistant Service-Learning Administrator, Marquette University
