The Coordinator of Community Service Programs is responsible for the administration and leadership of programs, services and staff within the Office of Community Service Programs.
The Office works to:
- provide students with the unique option to enhance their education and work experience beyond the traditional classroom;
- challenge individuals and groups to become active in service related projects within the local community;
- strengthen the bond between the University, the local community and other colleges and universities;
- to encourage students, faculty, and staff to increase their awareness related to community service; and
- link the USC campus with the national service initiative.
Specific responsibilities include:
- the placement of students, faculty and staff in community service programs;
- the promotion the Office of Community Service Programs through presentations, publications, outreach and awareness;
- advising community service related organizations;
- developing external sources of funding, research and write grants; managing administrative functions and budgets.
