The Coordinator of Community Service Programs is responsible for the administration and leadership of programs, services and staff within the Office of Community Service Programs. The Office works to: provide students with the unique option to enhance their education and work experience beyond the traditional classroom; challenge individuals and groups to become active in service related projects within the local community; strengthen the bond between the University, the local community and other colleges and universities; to encourage students, faculty, and staff to increase their awareness related to community service; and link the USC campus with the national service initiative. Specific responsibilities include the placement of students, faculty and staff in community service programs; the promotion the Office of Community Service Programs through presentations, publications, outreach and awareness; advising community service related organizations; developing external sources of funding, research and write grants; managing administrative functions and budgets.
