Project Director, Campus Action Planning (CAP)
Alexis serves as the Project Director, Campus Action Planning (CAP). She collaborates with CAP Fellows and Coaches to support campuses and develop CAPs that address the needs and contexts of the communities in which campuses are located. She also supports the Chief Engagement Officer learning community.
Alexis has been a part of community engagement in higher education and non-profit for over twenty-five years, providing her with a rich set of experiences that inform her work on CAP. Alexis has worked at a variety of institutional types including Research, Liberal Arts, and Regional Comprehensive. She led the Utah affiliate of Campus Compact for six years, worked as a Senior Network Director for the Promise Partnership at United Way of Salt Lake, and most recently served as the Executive Director, Community Engagement at Weber State University.
A practitioner-scholar in community engagement, her Doctoral capstone focused on Instructor Practice in Critical Service-Learning. She earned a B.S. in Management from the University of Utah, an M.A. Counseling in Student Affairs from UCLA. and her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy also from Utah.
