Senior Manager, Member Recruitment
Bella McKinney is the Senior Manager of Member Recruitment at Campus Compact, where she leads national membership growth strategies and manages recruitment initiatives designed to expand the coalition’s network of higher education institutions committed to civic and community engagement.
Before stepping into this role, Bella served as Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator at Campus Compact, where she led AmeriCorps VISTA host site and VISTA member recruitment efforts across multiple program cycles. Her work with the AmeriCorps VISTA team focused on building equitable systems, improving operational workflows, and fostering strong relationships with institutional and community partners.
Bella’s background spans nonprofit, public sector, and international community development work. She previously supported Afghan student resettlement initiatives at the University of Arizona, contributed to youth development programming as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, and worked with AmeriCorps and conservation programs through Mile High Youth Corps and the Community Resource Center.
She is passionate about national service and higher ed’s responsibility to uphold a commitment to civic participation. In her current role, she is most excited at the prospect of expanding the impact of Campus Compact’s work through growing our coalition.
Bella studied Public Administration and Middle Eastern and North African Studies at the University of Arizona and holds a bachelor’s degree in History and English from Saint Leo University. In her free time you can find her spending time outside with her husband and family
