VISTA Leader
Sofia joined Campus Compact as a VISTA Leader after serving one VISTA term where she focused on lowering food insecurity at a downtown Chicago university. Before pursuing VISTA, she lived in The Netherlands, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s of Science in Public Management & Public Policy. During her time abroad, she worked on projects aimed at creating inclusive policies within higher education at both the classroom and administrative levels. In her current position with Campus Compact, she focuses on supporting our national cohort of VISTAs in their projects by developing trainings, providing mentorship, building community, and other forms of support. Living in Chicago, Sofia enjoys long walks around the lake, trying new restaurants, and getting involved in her neighborhood as much as she can.
