Erica Rotman has spent 15 years in nonprofits and mission-driven organizations, starting in fundraising before expanding into finance and operations. Most recently as the Director of Finance and HR and co-owner at Samara Collective, she developed a strategic pricing plan that helped the organization meet its financial goals while maintaining team capacity. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Bikes Not Bombs and Better Future Project. She is passionate about making financial information accessible and engaging, ensuring that staff at all levels have the tools and knowledge to contribute to budgeting and understand the organization’s financial health. Erica’s career trajectory was shaped by her early experience as a campus activist at McGill University, where she volunteered at the university’s sexual assault center. She is excited to return to an organization dedicated to supporting students in civic engagement. She lives in Boston with her wife and two young kids, including a three-year-old with a deep fascination for obscure musical instruments like the koto, serpent, and hurdy gurdy.
