The Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA program seeks to activate higher education institutions and their partners to impact poverty on their campuses and in their communities. By leveraging federal resources to eliminate the root causes of poverty on campus and in the surrounding community, our VISTA members help low-income college students persist and institutions of higher learning build trust with their surrounding communities.
We are excited to share our 2024-2025 Impact Report on the collective impact of this dedicated group of Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA Members. As you’ll read throughout this report, our 2024-25 cohort built capacity for anti-poverty initiatives in the field’s most pressing areas like FGLI student support and success, college pathway programs, and community outreach.
These projects and their hosting campuses exemplify Campus Compact’s mission and progress our vision. Our 2024-25 program year saw 58 VISTA Members serve over 80,000 hours with 47 college campuses and their partners across the country to address the most critical, poverty related issues faced by college students and community members.
In this report you'll find more information on and deeper dives into:
- Higher ed’s role in eliminating poverty
- Our partner sites
- Impact: capacity built
- Impact: poverty alleviated
- VISTA member spotlight
- The future of Campus Compact VISTA
The full version of this report is available for download and we've also made an abridged, executive summary version available as well. We express our sincere gratitude to our VISTA members for their service and to our host sites for their ongoing dedication to this work.
