Last month I had the opportunity to visit the University of San Francisco, a Campus Compact member campus, while I was in town for the AAC&U Annual Meeting.
Star Plaxton-Moore, Director of Community-Engaged Learning and McCarthy Center Programs at the Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good and Campus Compact Faculty Development Fellow, gave me a tour of the campus and I was so excited to spend time connecting with the rest of the team at the McCarthy Center. It was great to get a feel for campus life at USF and hear more about some of the vital programs and partnerships taking place. There is so much amazing work underway!
In the coming months, the Campus Compact team and I hope to visit member campuses as often as we can—both to deepen relationships and to learn more about how we can continue to build our coalition in service to members and the communities they partner with.
